***Press Release***
Middletown, Virginia; August 20, 2002 - The Acoustical Revival, in concert with Dynaclavier Technologies, is pleased to announce the release of Peter E. Tennenbaum Plays J.S. Bach, a new compact disk filled with aged piano recordings recently rescued from the historical archives. Mr. Tennenbauman analyst by professionis perhaps better known for his work in physics; but these technically flawedyet highly lyricalperformances could help tilt the balance in our struggle to drive the acoustical barbarians back to their caves. Recorded on a variety of pianos, including a restored (single-strung) 1893 Haines Brothers Upright Grand, using a range of historical tunings, this collection is designed for low-volume playback. Indeed, according to Mr. Tennenbaum, "We stand at the crossroads: Will it be progress or barbarism, tonality or noise? Find a quiet area, turn down the lights, and set the volume lowvery low. Flow into the world of Bachnot into the past, but back to our future!"
